About Our Shatterproof Drinkware
What makes your drinkware shatterproof?
Our drinkware is made from premium polycarbonate or Tritan copolyester — engineering-grade materials that are specifically designed to withstand impacts without shattering or cracking. Unlike traditional glass, polycarbonate and Tritan flex on impact rather than breaking, making them the safest choice for outdoor venues, poolside bars, events, schools, and aged care facilities.
What materials are your unbreakable drinkware items made from?
We stock two premium materials:
- Polycarbonate — used in the Polysafe and D-Still ranges. Crystal-clear, BPA-free, and the most widely used material in professional hospitality drinkware.
- Tritan copolyester — used in the Palm Outdoor range. BPA-free, incredibly tough, and retains clarity through thousands of wash cycles.
Do your shatterproof glasses look like real glass?
Yes. Our premium polycarbonate and Tritan glasses have exceptional optical clarity that is virtually indistinguishable from real glass. Many of our customers — including hospitality professionals — report that their guests cannot tell the difference.
Are your products BPA-free and food safe?
Yes. All drinkware sold by Unbreakable Drinkware is BPA-free and food safe, meeting Australian food contact standards.
Are your products dishwasher safe?
Yes. All of our polycarbonate and Tritan drinkware is dishwasher safe. We recommend using brand-specific cleaning products (such as Polysafe Polyclean or D-Still Poly Rejuvenate Powder) and a gentle cycle for best results. See our care guides for full instructions:
- Polysafe Care & Maintenance Guide

Are your glasses microwave safe?
Palm Outdoor Tritan drinkware is microwave safe. Polycarbonate drinkware (Polysafe and D-Still) is not recommended for microwave use.
Can polycarbonate glasses be used outdoors and poolside?
Yes — this is one of the primary reasons customers choose shatterproof drinkware. Our polycarbonate and Tritan glasses are ideal for poolside bars, outdoor dining, alfresco venues, festivals, and events where traditional glass is prohibited or poses a safety risk.
Are your beer glasses Weights & Measures approved?
Yes. Selected Polysafe beer glasses are Weights & Measures certified for use in Australian licensed venues. Check individual product listings for certification details.
